Today Bill Halter won the third and final Arkansas Senate Democratic debate, three in a row. This debate was hosted by the Clinton School and the Political Animals Club. Previous debates were held in Little Rock before a convention of newspaper editors (the Arkansas Associated Press Managing Editors Association), and on KATV, 40/29 and C-SPAN and Politico nationwide.

According to the Arkansas Times, "Bill Halter won in classic debate terms in today's final senatorial debate at the Statehouse Convention Center. He scored point after point with specific attacks on Sen. Blanche Lincoln's voting record, her negative ad campaign and her advocacy for an estate tax cut for families worth more than $10 million at a time when the middle class is hurting."
As political columnist John Brummett put it previously, "Bill Halter won it [the second debate] by a wide margin on three accounts".
Bill Halter and Arkansas working families won these debates because in question after question, Lt. Gov. Halter showed himself to be the candidate who will stand up to Wall Street and fight for working families.
Post-debate Halter said, "What you saw this afternoon was clearly a demonstration of priorities. For me middle class Arkansas families will always come first."
